Two Signings in March for The Acadiana Art Trail

Author Kelli Foret to discuss the importance of local art to guests in Lafayette and Abbeville

 

Acadiana is brimming with local art … you just need to know where to find it.

 

Kelli Foret, author of The Acadiana Art Trail, will be discussing her latest hidden hot spots for local art with guests in Lafayette and Abbeville over the next two weeks. She’ll provide insight into unique styles, discuss the inspirations of eclectic new artists and (perhaps most importantly) share with you the places you can view and even purchase their works.

 

Her first event coincides with Lafayette’s 2nd Saturday ArtWalk this Saturday, March 10 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Foret will be in the Coca-Cola Loft at the Acadiana Center for the Arts, welcoming guests and signing copies of her book.

 

Later this month on Monday, March 19 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Foret will be guest speaker at the Vermilion Parish Library in Abbeville. She’ll share some of the unique treasures she found while composing the Art Trail. She’ll also discuss the importance of local art in each community and why supporting local expression has been an important part of our culture.
