Brent Henley
The neXus Initiative
In his first book, The neXus Initiative, Industrial Psychologist Brent Henley illustrates how networking is broken, why giving is more powerful than taking, and how each of us can reach our long-term goals with the help of our neXus. His neXus strategy for lasting growth is in use by firms large and small across the U.S. As the initiative continues to spread, Henley continues to give and share experiences through the books site (theneXusinitiative.com).
Brent earned a masters in Industrial Psychology and went on to found The Pyramid Group in 1980, dead set on debunking the then-prevalent “smile-talk” training of the time. As you might imagine, these principles didn’t always prove popular (or profitable). They did, however, build his reputation as a no-nonsense advisor who dislikes wasting time and money…and that paid off.
Today, Brent consults with the world’s leading organizations from almost every sector, including Isle of Capri Casinos, Fugro, Hancock Bank, Amedisys, University of Georgia, United Way (nonprofit) and more. He’s a favorite conference and convention speaker, leading insightful interactive presentations from local associations to heads of state from countries worldwide. Brent has authored and co-authored countless exercises and learning programs, many still in use by the world’s leading training companies.
His plain, polite, somewhat irreverent style isn’t relegated to the business world. He’s an ardent fan of Jimmy Buffet, rare scotch, fine cigars and the Oklahoma Sooners (not necessarily in that order). He considers himself a father, husband and Eagle Scout (absolutely in that order).
